Vegan High Protein Chocolate Mousse




I found this recipe by @lea.martine on instagram. I was sceptical and thought you'd be able to taste the tofu, but it was pleasantly silky and perfect. I adjusted some of the the quantities a little for my taste.


I'd a huge fan of tofu because it's an excellent source of plant proteins, calcium and phytoestrogens. You shouldn't fear phytoestrogens. They actually help to reduce your risk of cancer and are help for this TTC in late 30's, for PMS and perimenopause. There is my permission to eat *THIS* chocolate mousse!


300g silken tofu

180g 70% dark chocolate

1/4 cup maple syrup


Melt bark chocolate in a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water.

Add melted chocolate, tofu and maple syrup to a blender and blend until silky smooth.

Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate overnight.
